Imagine this hypothetical scenario (outing CIA undercover agents)

Let's say a liberal anti-war blogger decided to go to Iraq to report from there and learn more about the war.

Then let's say one day that blogger named in his blog the name of an undercover CIA agent working undercover with the Iraqi "insurgents". His cover was officially listed as classfied. Then his name was spread all over other liberal blogs, websites, discussion groups and Air America radio. The agent's cover was blown, his work was ruined and now his life is put in danger.

How would this Administration respond. How would conservatives respond?

Edit: but I do think it's funny ( ironic) in a way, how all of us are so upset about outing a CIA agent and how we are cheering on the CIA against the Bushies. I've never really been that spooked by them or other agencies, but I know some Dems and leftists are.
Oh and we are also cheering on a Federal prosecutor! Go Fitz!

2. Long long ago when Carter was President

I remember he made mention of the Stealth fighter -- the right wing nuts started to burn him at the stake . . . until it was pointed out to them that details about the Stealth had already been published (in Jane's perhaps??). But I do remember they were ready to tear him apart -- I think that they were practicing hunting the President they had to wait 12 years to go after Clinton.

And if it were Al Gore who revealed the name of a CIA undercover agent -- Gore would be hanging right now.

Double standards . . . One for the GOP and the very rich and other one for normal people.
