Usually, I don't like Halloween but I am hoping for the best one
ever this year. I am hopeful. I am waiting. I am praying. I could really use some really positive news, something to be happy about for the first time in 5 dreadful years. I know there are many people who feel the same way as I do and they need something to be hopeful about too.

If this Halloween turns out to be as happy and blessed as I think it could then I will celebrate this victory over evil for the rest of my Halloweens. Anyone else?

3. Patrick F. is Irish, the Irish celebrate the feast of Samhain 10/31
it's about honoring ancestors for one.

Some believe that Samhain was the more important festival, marking the beginning of a whole new cycle, just as the Celtic day began at night. For it was understood that in dark silence comes whisperings of new beginnings, the stirring of the seed below the ground.

15. I am in Conroe...
and I love the sound of howling wind. Few people now understand the old ways, or the old religion. As I said in another thread...there are many paths, many roads, but they all lead to the same place.

Translation of an old Spanish poem.

The cold wind blows,
the full moon rises,

I do not ask you to go,
I do not ask you to stay.

The poem has nothing whatsoever to do with the post, but I thought you might enjoy it.

7. All Hallow's Eve of course my favorite holiday
since it is a good Scorpio holiday. I wish it to become even more glorious with the fact that our enemies may have their guts for garters by week's end. And their curse on us may be at last lifted.
