I have a question about Ashcroft.........
.....regarding the CIA leak investigation. I've read that he originally began this reservation before Fitzgerald got it. I've also read that Ashcroft recused himself in December, 2003..........does anyone know why he recused himself?

1. I don't remember that either but he was the one who named Fitz as
prosecutor if I am not mistaken
That's made it a little hard for BushCo to smear him too much

clearly Ashcroft was too close to this.........which may be the reason. I was just wondering if anyone had any other info about Ashcroft.

6. Not only that
Career prosecutors in the Justice Department were very vocal to Ashcroft that he needed to recuse himself. They worked on him until he gave in. It's something that largely flew under the radar of the MSM. There was a small mutiny in Justice. I don't recall who led it.
