I have a great idea for all Gay People
I think you should all go on strike. The anti Gay crazies are not worth the effort to respond to them but America would be shocked on how their lives would change if we didn't have the beauty of their creative efforts in so many areas of our lives.

Just a thought...namaste

If ALL gays get together one year and DO NOT pay taxes. That would end gay discrimination for sure.

9. I am serious...
You hear Congress passing laws that hurt homosexuals and in taxes alone, the US generates a lot of money from gay people. Imagine a couple, whose take home salary is 100,000 a year EACH. They do not have the choices of filling separately. It is a shame that government is passing all this laws... WITH THEIR tax money!

2. it would be nice, but many gay people would lose their jobs.
Not for striking, but because their employers discovered they were gay. And others for striking. Also, if 100,000 gay people march in the streets, RWers will say there's only 100,000 gay people in America.

5. I hear you but
I have this conversation with many Gay friends...If you want the rights you have to fight for them. We fought for woman's rights to vote and ROE..You can't have it both ways to stay in the closet and demand your rights. Look what Rosa did when she could have been killed 50 years ago and no one would have cared. It takes courage, but what choice do you have. Is it fair that a few work for rights while the others are safe?

11. Anti-gay crazies
Pro-creationism, but anti-creativity. I think the absence of challenging art would suit them just fine, have you been to the suburbs and exurbs in which they dwell?

13. What would having them all in jail accomplish?
Not paying taxes is a crime and this administration would jail em all. Shrub don't need em. Mrs. Shrub don't need em, Cheney...lol, Mrs. Cheney don't need em. ON and ON and ON and ON....

A few puke senators would suffer but thats it.

That would backfire I fear.

14. "Not paying taxes is a crime .."
If huge numbers of people refused in January, there aren't enough agents to arrest millions of people.

(Of course, in accordance with DU rules, I'm not condoning anything illegal.) O8)

Not paying taxes is a crime. And they would call in the military if they didn't get thier money. That would be repug or Dem. They want the Money.

So yes they have enough power ...lol.
