CNN International has reported Libby will be indicted.
My question is, if Libby is the highest ranked person indicted, is that a disappointment?

1. Despite what DUers say, Libby is not insignificant. |

This guy is neocon scum to the bone and a key player in the build up to the Iraq war.

It's the tip of the iceberg. Looks to me like they are going to take Libby down for the outing and chase the bigger dogs for something worse. More offices and extension of the GJ add up to Fitz is onto something even bigger. If we take one of the Houses in 2006 BushCo is done for. What sucks is it's going to take 50 years to undo all the crap they have done.

6. If we take care of the houses. |

A big if. We don't have a real press as far as mass media goes. We don't know how many dems are on board that want to return us to a free state (versus security state) or put an end to this full spectrum dominance madness. The architects of all this still have power. The supreme court will fall to extemists. This is no walk in the park. This is a serious struggle.

4. Disappointment? Not if the investigation is extended. |
|
Libby might roll over on Dick Cheney, after all. And if Fitzgerald asks for an extension of the grand jury's term, it's a safe bet he's looking to bag bigger game than Scooter. Remember, patience is a virtue.

Look, Scooter, we can deal this down, but we need the whole story, everybody involved, how, when, and why.
Do you really want to be the fall guy, Irving?

It is definitely worrying though. Doesn't Rove seem to have this air of smugness at being to get away with anything? And if this report is correct it looks like he may have weaseled out of this.
Yeah, it might happen later. But there was an intense build up of psychological pressure around this investigation that will be released tomorrow, and Rove knows if he can just by-pass this phase, it gives him time to think and plot his escape.
He should have been going down tomorrow.

8. How do they know what Fitzgerald's going to do? |

When my local crummy radio station says what's going on, that's probably what I'll believe over anyone trying to get the scoop.

9. MSNBC, FOX, CNN once "scooped" each other with LOUD FLASHING "NEWS" |
|
"SADDAM IS DEAD!"
"SADDAM IS DEAD!"
"SADDAM IS DEAD!"
Of course, those "reports" were greatly exaggerated.
I no longer turn to corporatist propagandist un-newsworthy programs --preferring the actual hard work done on the internet.
(And I don't believe any of the "scoops" coming out tonight -- anything can change at the last minute.)
