Which is worse(for WH): Rove indicment today, or investigation still open? |
|
I am not sure... I think it is probably worse for the WH to keep the cloud of suspicion over Rove and their activites and keep tha MSM guessing about what possible crimies may have been committed by whom.
But I was hoping for Rove to get indicted tody, I must admit.

5. Tweety and Andrea Mitchell .. ugghh.. |
|
are saying that Cheney will continue supporting Libby to the end, and that they see a WH pardon for Libby in the near future... they're comparing it to Ford's pardons after Watergate, which is good for the country because it keeps bad stuff out of the public consciousness.
Oh pleeezzzeee. I just wanna puke.

going forward. Sure, he's relieved today, but it is only a moment of respite. I suspect he'll enjoy his Halloween, ;) but it'll stop there when his attorneys dig in for the rest of the investigation.
I'm going to try and listen to Cmdr. Bunnypants speak now. (What am I thinking?)

10. Deep Trouble for White House |
|
Both scenarios are pretty bad for the Bushites ... but an on-going investigation and no indictment of Rove today means -- Fitzgerald believes Rove committed a crime, but hasn't got all the evidence he wants to go to trial.
And, I'm not necessarily buying that Rove will not get it today. The grand jury can decide to indict even if Fitzgerald doesn't believe he is ready. So, I think that a Rove indictment today is still a probability.

11. I think it is Excellent that the investigation is still open. Finding |

out that Fitzgerald was looking at the forged Niger documents is leading me to believe that he is going into the nitty gritty of the lies that led us to war.

16. Investigation still open is great. Means that they may be |
|
looker deeper into other, more serious, aspects of this whole thing. And the longer Rove is twisting out there, the worse Bush looks for keeping someone with such questionable "values" around.

17. Neither is good for the WH |
|
Even if Rove is never indicted, that Libby is getting indictments is damaging to Bush.
Chris Matthews (surprisingly) put it well yesterday when he said either Bush knew and was involved or, if he didn't know how can he be the leader he campaigned to be?

19. I think the civil suit the wilsons are going to bring against Rove and Lib |
|
In that Civil suit Cheney and Bush* can both be subpoenaed and have to speak under oath and answer questions by the Wilsons. That could get very very interesting. Remember anyone can file a Civil Suit at any time and according to the Supreme court even the President can not avoid one....
