I was (am) so proud to be an American today, so honored to have had the |
|
opportunity to watch Mr. Fitzgerald live and in person this afternoon. Straight-shooter, self-deprecating, patient, brilliant, serious, humble, and funny as hell. I cannot access the transcript of his press conference, but there was one thing he said about "the truth" - and I cannot remember what it was. I want to print it out and hang it on my wall. Can you (please) tell me what that phrase was?

When I was in New York working as a prosecutor, we brought those cases because we realized that the truth is the engine of our judicial system. And if you compromise the truth, the whole process is lost.

and misdirection, apathy, failure of governance, and corruption Prosecutor Fitzgerald was a breath of fresh air.
He turned what could have been a totally hopeless case, up agnainst an arrogant stonewalling WH, this man saw through the dung and came up to fresh air and sunhsine.

farewell and we got to reflect on how ONE SINGLE PERSON C A N make a difference. I am feeling that way towards Mr. Fitzgerald today - just ONE special person, right time, right place, armed with courage and The Truth. The Truth is "the engine of our judicial system", but also The Truth is the engine of FREEDOM.

there's not many days that i can say i'm proud to be an American, but today, watching justice unfold on tv and the internet, i actually paused at times to reflect that times like THIS are what it is all about.
...and justice for all!

9. I so agree. I was so proud today listening to Mr. Fitzgerald. |
|
I feel he has brought honor back to us. We have all suffered so much from the seeming corruption and lies.
