That would sure be anti-climatic.

2. Sure he can plead guilty
As O'Donnell said on Countdown, Fitz aint gonna give him nothing unless Libby gives him something. So if he wants to plead guilty and take 30 years for his neo-con love, he can. That would be our worse case, actually. But Fitz has him good on the charges, so he has nothing to gain by giving him a reduced sentence unless...Scooter plays ball.

3. He could, but he'd probably have to offer up something.

Or someobdy. Under the federal sentencing guidelines, a defendant can sometimes get his penalty or sentence reduced by cooperating with the prosecution. This usually means rolling on somebody higher up in the food chain. I'd be surprised if Libby is tried because witnesses like Cheney and Rove would be subpoenaed and would have to testify under oath -- which would be very dangerous for them if they are invovled (which they most likely are). I wonder whether Libby would be willing to fall on his sword for these guys, or whether he'll roll on them for a reduced sentence. Stay tuned...

4. He can plead guilty, waive his right to a trial
be convicted, then pardoned. He will spend little if any time in jail.

7. The terms of any plea agreement will tell me what this investigation...
was about. Is it an effort to appease the working CIA or is it a real search for the Truth.
