Did Fitzgerald present other charges to the Grand Jury on, say Rove?

Which were then rejected by the Grand Jury? Is that the way it works? Is there anyway to figure out that this did indeed happen?

Not sure if this has been discussed today or not, but I missed much of this afternoon.

They could have voted down the other charges. Or Fitz may have taken them off the table when Rove squealed to make a deal. Who knows.

Fitz isn't telling.

I imagine there will be charges against Rove coming soon enough. As soon as Fitz gets the new GJ caught up on the conspiracy, Rove will get his long expected target letter.

Fitzgerald refused to answer, citing the secrecy of the Grand Jury and possible future happenings.

12. That was one of the most interesting questions

Fitzgerald seemingly wanted to respond, but an aide to his right immediately interjected that info wasn't allowed to be released. I didn't know how to read that, but I took it to mean possible additional charges against Libby might have been requested, as opposed to completely rejected charges against someone else. In cases like this they always turn one basic aspect into multiple charges, like the five against Libby. So if indictments had been requested against Rove, there would have been many counts, not just one or two. I find it hard to believe a grand jury would reject every count against an individual.

4. He was extremely professional

- did not say if any other charges were or were not excepted by the grand jury
- did not rule in or out whether other charges would be forthcoming
- I think he left the door open for using another already seated grand jury in the future (he was one slick talking prosecutor)

His total professionalism amidst a one hour press conference must have conservatives drooling on doorknobs. Mr Fitzgerald was a consumate professional today regardless of ones political affiliation. However, the way he avoided answering questions and his efforts to deflect spoke volumes to me. I'd bet tomorrow's beer money there will be other indictments.

was one slick customer as far as sticking exactly to the issues and matters and rules at hand. Making sure he is above reproach. I was impressed.

"can fend off unfair attacks," etc. Yes, he has integrity AND he knows how to hold on to it.
