SIXTEEN Questions Mr. Cheney will HAVE TO ANSWER UNDER OATH |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-28-05 11:30 PM by berni_mccoy
1. Why did you feel it was NECESSARY to inform Mr. Libby that Valerie Plame was a Covert CIA Agent?
2. What SPECIFIC reasons justified informing Mr. Libby of Mrs. Plame's CIA status?
3. You did not want Mr. Wilson's report to be published did you?
4. In your opinion, was Mr. Wilson's report damaging to the War effort? Why?
5. Were there other ways pursued to prevent Mr. Wilson's report or to have Mr. Wilson recant his report? What were they?
6. You knew the Niger Documents that Wilson told you were forgeries were forgeries didn't you?
7. Why did you allow them to be used in the case to go to War?
8. Wasn't the real reason you used them because without the threat of WMD you would not receive enough votes in Congress to authorize military action?
9. Mr. Wilson's report put a spotlight on the lies used to convince Congress to authorize military action, didn't it?
10. Isn't it true that if it could be shown that lies were used to obtain authorization, the President could face criminal charges? Mr. Wilson's report would show that correct?
11. Mr. Wilson's report would raise serious questions about the reasons to go to war, right at the beginning of an election cycle wouldn't it?
12. Didn't Mr. Wilson's report and testimony to the American people threaten the continuing public support for the war and the chances that you and Mr. Bush would remain in office for another term?
13. Did you inform ANYONE else of Mrs. Plame's CIA status? If so, whom?
14. To your knowledge did ANYONE else in the administration request information on Mrs. Plame from the CIA?
15. Did you order Mr. Libby to leak Mrs. Plame's Identity to the Press?
16. Did you have knowledge that Mr. Libby had intent, was going to leak or shortly afterward did leak Mrs. Plame's Identity to the Press?
Of course, he won't have to answer these questions if Libby pleas and it never gets to a trial, but I bet Cheney is awfully uncomfortable right now.
I'd be putting Libby and Fitzgerald under protection if I were in charge...

6. Now I know who you really are, welcome to DU Mr, Mason. |
|
You did a fine job. If the judge lets any testimony in about the war, I think it will open a large can of worms. I don't think a judge could stop EVERYTHING from coming out of the woodwork. It seems to me that facts about the lies to start a war, would all be admissible once that door is opened.
As soon as I heard Cheney was mentioned in the indictment I knew this whole thing was going to expand. I think the country and the world wants and deserves nothing but the truth. Anything less, would be something that would go on hurting America for years to come. The GOP is crying that this can't be allowed to go to trial because of the damage it would do to the country. THAT IS JUST ANOTHER LIE! Damage has already done to the country, nailing the liars would stop any more such damage, like nothing else ever can, or will, put a stop to it.
America has lived in a state of "Constitutional Crises" since the Supreme Court Ruled in favor of Bush in 2000, IMO. We have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to Gain, by letting ALL the facts, finally be brought to light.
You promised TRANSPARENCY Bush, now be man enough, for once, in your pathetic, pampered, sheltered, life to deliver. Your legacy is to bound to be the story of the biggest liar, ever to reside in the White House. If you have nothing to hide, then let the trial begin. Let us see that "Morality and Transparency" that you always brag about.

9. If asked cleverly and carefully enough, these could... |
|
Blow the whole thing WIDE OPEN. Americans would KNOW FOR A FACT that the Bush admin LIED us into war. IMPEACMENT pressure would rise... and POSSIBLY (just possibly) the repubs in Congress may be forced to do something next year.
I have serious concerns that the trial would get that far though and if it did, would be in time to have an impact on the elections. The best we could hope for is a Cheney testimony in mid-September 2006. This would seriously hurt repub Congressional re-election attempts.

Sorry I didn't take time to proof read that thing. I've been running in and out trying to keep an eye on this board and get all my leaves picked up and hauled off.

Libby may be in trouble... IF Cheney is involved, they obviously didn't care enough about the CIA covert agents (they were 'expendable')... they would certainly allow Libby to come in harm's way. I don't put anything past this administration now.
BTW, did you see Rove's comments to the press when he found out he wasn't being indicted (but Libby was)... he said something like "I'm estatic and I'm going to have a wonderful weekend"... obviously he isn't the least bit upset that Libby is going down and he is not.

11. It confirms what I have suspected, which is that Libby |
|
may have misled Rove into doing illegal dirty work as opposed to regular Karl dirty work.

14. Was it your goal to put Brewster-Jennings out of business? |
|
Do you know who forged the Niger documents?
Isn't it true that you believed Brewster-Jennings was a threat to your plan to create forged "evidence" to support the Iraq invasion.
