If I hear one more 24/7 network commentator speculate about whether Libby's indictment will allow his relationship/friendship with Cheney to survive!! For one thing, where the hell WAS Cheney yesterday?? Don't answer that, we all know where he was. He was avoiding Libby like the plague. Cheney couldn't even make sure he was in Washington on Friday, to visibly show support for his right hand man who had just been indicted. Instead, Dick fires off a press release. Nice, personal touch there Mr. Vice President. I hope Libby turns, and sings like a fucking canary. Let him give Mr. Pacemaker something to really clutch his chest about.

to give a speech to a carefully selected audience about his fabricated war on Terra. It was somewhere far away from DC.

6. His Speech started during Fitz's press conference. CNN disgustingly put |
|
both Fitz's conference and Cheney's speech up at the same time. Cheney got about 2/3 of the TV screen, while they shrank Fitz's press conference right in the middle of it! I immediately turned the channel to MSNBC, where their was little mention of Cheney's distractor speech.

10. That Cheney speech clip was sick and twisted. |
|
Cheney approaches the podium to the applause of soldiers, one soldier in particular "clapping" with what's left of his arms. Disabled soldiers applauding a war-mongering blood and oil fuck. Sickening.

8. Happy to hear that Cheney et al ... |
|
... are so quick to 'distance' themselves from their former friend and confidant. How loyal would YOU be to the people who hung YOU out to dry?
When Scooter contemplates being locked in the 'garage' for thirty years, his wheels are going to get AWFULLY SQUEAKY!!!!

What's in it for him, if he does stay loyal? A prison sentence, financial disaster (don't forget there's a FINE attached to these crimes, as well as jail time), loss of freedom, family, friends.
The Repugs can offer financial help, but they CAN'T do his jail-time for him.
IMHO, if the Repugs hold Scooter out as the 'one bad apple' who caused all of this, he has NO REASON to keep his mouth shut.
Conversely, if the Repugs DON'T distance themselves from him and his actions, they look like they were a PART of it all (which they WERE).
Not much of a choice, is it?
