Poll question: Is Libby taking the fall for Cheney & Rove
You know, I'm starting to think that Scooter Libby isn't the bad guy but the fall guy. He's the one picked out first even though there have been heavy rumors that this was the doing of Cheney & Rove trying to protect this administration.

Maybe it's me, but I'm thinking that the fact that Libby went first is because Libby is our new 'Oliver North' - the guy the government is going to let take the fall so they can continue with their illegal war.

Am I crazy to think this?

2. He is TRYING to, but if conspiracy charges are brought against
him, Cheney and even the Monkey, he will flip faster than a pancake at IHOP.

4. Irrefutable evidence could still appear. . .
like Whitehouse records regarding Bolton and/or some other tangible written document to eliminate any email excuse from Rove. . .once the evidence indicts Rove, the Prezel's impeachable.

So it's not whether or not Libby will sing for his release or stay loyal for some big payoff by Bush Crime Family.

Fitz is playing his cards right, no sooner or later than IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE APPEARS, NEVER RELY ON TRUE CONFESSIONS OF CON-MAN LIBBY. . .holding his cards close to his vest.

6. Libby is the first to fall.
When he told his phony story, he didn't think that Fitz could get answers from journalists. He was lying, but he thought he was safe. Now he gets to spend those long nights awake in bed wondering "who's the fool?" The boy is looking at some heavy time. And, in a few months when Fitz prods him for some more info for a possible deal, he may spill his guts. And, that may lead to some more indictments.

Is immunity in offing as Congress looks at Plame case?
Submitted by davidswanson on Tue, 2005-08-02 23:38. Congress
By SCOTT SHEPARD
Cox News Service

WASHINGTON — As Congress tip-toes into the controversy over the leak of CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity, some lawmakers and analysts worry that the criminal investigation of the matter could be undermined by any congressional grant of immunity from prosecution, as has happened in the past in politically charged investigations.

The cases of key Iran-contra figures Oliver North and John Poindexter underscore their worries: both were prosecuted and convicted by independent counsel Lawrence Walsh, but their convictions were overturned because Congress had granted them immunity in order to compel them to testify in the congressional investigation of the Reagan administration's arms-for-hostages deals.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., for example, is drafting letters of caution to the chairmen, Republican Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas and Republican Rep. Pete Hoekstra of Michigan.

"The (congressional) hearings should not be used as a ruse to provide White House officials with immunity," Lautenberg said in a statement late Friday.

8. I think "they" decided he's the fall guy.
Libby may start to have other ideas.
