I'll never forget the coverage of him walking around NYC talking to people, and this one woman just completely lost it right in front of him and was crying uncontrollably. He hugged and held her and just comforted her in the moment of things, he didn't even have to say anything that anyone but she could hear. And in the background someone yelled, "We wish you were still President!"

If I'd ever had a doubt about what kind of person he was before that day, it was laid to rest at that moment. He made me so proud.

And then contrast that to the performance put on by the talking monkey with the megaphone the next day or however many days it took that POS to get his sorry ass to New York.

I was at an event in Iowa in 2003 (the Tom Harkin Steak Fry) and toward the end Clinton (after speaking with incredible eloquence for forty-five minutes without notes) came along a fence to shake hands. Someone stopped him and engaged him in conversation for about five minutes, and never once did Clinton look away from that person. His entire attention was riveted on the other person.

I also noticed that he has the most beautiful hands I've ever seen on a man.

And the other cool thing that day was that it was carried on c-Span, and my husband got a glimpse of me shaking Clinton's hand!
