Working together to defeat Karl Rove

Listen up people. Our main goal for 2004 is to get our White House and congress back. I am a Clark supporter but first and foremost I'm an "Any Democrat in 2004" supporter.
Now, here's the hard part. Regardless of what candidate you support Karl Rove is your #1 enemy. All Democratic candidate Campaigns need to work together to diffuse Karl Rove. We shouldn't stoop to his level but we should pull the curtain back so people can see the weasel wizard for what he really is. That means detailing his tactics to the press. Letting everyone know what he's up to and who is working for him. So dig up everything and anything about Karl Rove and his goings on and post it here and on your candidate’s blogs. Don't be tempted to think that Karl is out of the game because of "Leak-gate" The wizard is still in it. Let's expose him!

1. Karl Rove is the head honcho

But we're not just taking on Karl Rove...WE'RE TAKING ON AN ENTIRE MACHINE...Even if you take out the leaders, there will be others that will step up to the plate. But I understand what you mean...Karl Rove is the mastermind of it all.

2. Not a bad idea

The political term for what you are describing is innoculation.

A good example of this is how Arnold innoculated the press when he entered the race by telling them that he expected allegations of womanizing to come out.

By the same token, our political staff people and the candidates themselves have to work innoculation into their speeches and policy papers that will forewarn the public that Rove (and the entire nasty machine) will be up to their old tricks. If any candidate has potentially embarrassing information in their background, they should innoculate the press and present it as another dirty trick they can expect Rove to use.

They should also try to anticipate some of the most forceful arguments that Rove and the boys can make and tell the press and the public that those arguments are pure hogwash BEFORE the arguments can be made.

Right now, a big whopper that Rove is using has to be diffused. The argument is that all Dem candidates are just BUSH HATERS and they have no plan/no alternatives. The emphasis has to be on Democratic plans versus Bush's* failed plans.........

Good thoughts. If the leadership can't do it then the activist community can....blogs, LTTEs, opinion pieces, addresses etc., etc.
