All the Ground Zeroes
Larisa Alexandrovna of Raw Story is blogging again with a poem/meditation about New York City and 911 and what disasters do to the shape of people's lives. It says too much. Read it.

1. I am back in FL and this may as well be about
Wilma, not that the country is paying much attention to what is going on here.

2. La la - We did fine here
I had family from Naples come up and stay with my Mom. Also, a lot of family in Ft. Lauderderdale - no power, streets a mess - no Trick or Treating allowed.

But they didn't want to come up and said that there wasn't anywhere we could really do any good there.

How are you?

3. I am still a
bit shaken...the debris is still here, in the middle of roads, power lines are still all over the place... and you know kids did not have school for two weeks, but they start this week in damaged buildings...where is the outrage? no one seems to care.

4. If it's not on TV, it didn't happen....
Hence the lack of outrage. (Like the 3 million+ homeless in the Himalayas who are going to freeze to death as winter comes. Where's the outrage, where's the aid?)

In any case, I hope you and your folks are all right.

Now get back to work! We need you!

URGENT! Timing is critical to save earthquake victims before winter!

5. I think millions and millions of us do care, the problem is, as you ...
... realize better than many, is that we have a forest of reasons to be outraged.

Thank you for all you are doing and I hope your home and neighborhood will soon be repaired.

Peace.

6. Thanks... I hope so too
But mostly, I hope that the poor and elderly get some help here.
