With the Plamegate scandal, I almost forgot that the CIA hasn't really |
|
been the good guy working for the good of the world...I just has a friend remind me of all the CIA "work" in other country affairs. Some with justifications and so just to protect US interest. And we know very, very little about any of that work.

1. So the one good thing the CIA was doing was what they sabotaged? |
|
We DO know Brewster-Jennings was tracking WMD. You would think (in a Frank Capra world, at least) that this administration would have been a little more sensitive to that.

2. Remember the CIA has two divisions: operations and analysis |
|
Operations is the half that's been described as "frat boys with guns and no honor", and is the part that carries out all the "charming" activities of the CIA's "colorful" past.
Analysis is the more mundane half, and has caught hell from Ops and assorted outside hawks for ages because it had an ethic of providing the administration with the facts, regardless of the current spin. Naturally, this led the frat boys to consider Analysis to be a bunch of "liberals". There's been a 30-year war on this division, starting with the Team-B competition in the 70's (under Poppy Bush) and proceeding through the Reagan-Bush years, as CIA management was increasingly politicized.

4. Funny how if you assert FACTS you are accused of liberal bias |

3. Hopefully now they will work to oust b*shco |
|
dubco was not interested in stopping weapons proliferation. Especially GFY cheney and poppy who profit dearly from moving weapons. I think Plame and Brewster Jennings were stopped for "their" purposes.
