4. Most people don't know the difference
between fantasy and reality and actors have to have a warped sense of reality to do what they do. The public has been condition by decades of special effects to where they can't tell what's real anymore, and they accept it.

The Gropenfuhrer is no more a 'Terminator' than I am.

It's all bullshit.

7. Unfortunately, I think the media had a lot to do with it

They pumped up the Lughead something rotten. Lt. Governor Bustamante was not given a fair shake. The mediawhores were ALL Arnie ALL the time.

They refused to state that the California "crisis" was actually caused by Enron and not Governor Davis, they also refused to report on the Lughead's meetings with Enron.

The Lughead as we know is as thick as a plank of solid wood...hopefully he'll be replaced next year by Phil Angelides.

Then there was some odd things happening with voting machines in Alameda (sic?) County on election day.

9. While I lived in California, nothing surprised me.
Actually the state is ungovernable. It has the worst constitution among the 50 states to boot.

10. America is obsessed with the cult of personality
a quick list includes Reagan, Arnie, Jesse Ventura, Sony Bono, Clint Eastwood.I am sure there are probably quite a few ex sports stars (obscure to the rest of the world)in elected positions also.

These people not only have the advantage of name recognition they also have the money to be able to afford to run an electoral campaign.
