Tonight on "BBC World News"...

...they did a feature story on U.S. troop morale in Iraq. The reporter sat in a room with several young soliders and asked them, "If Donald Rumsfeld were were right now, what would you say to him?"

First Soldier (grinning): "I don't think I could say that on TV."

Second Soldier: "Why the hell are we still in Iraq? Because I don't have a clue what we're doing here."

Third Soldier: "If Donald Rumsfeld was here right now, I'd ask for his resignation."

What a difference a couple of months can make, huh?

5. I saw that too, on abc
And I feel sorry for those soldiers. The brass is gonna come down on them like a ton of bricks. Hey, at least they'll be pulled from the front lines, right? Better than shooting one's self in the foot, as I would want to do, were I in Iraq-a-Nam.

3. Heard this on Pacifica.
I thought I heard a quote from yet another soldier, who said something to the effect of "the aces in my deck are Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowictz". Not a direct quote, but close.

4. That's a 3rd Infantry Division Seargent
If I recall correctly. He was sick of the other deck, so he came up with his own. And its filled with the chickenshit bastards who sent him over there.

It was on Tuesday's ABC network news (5:30pm Chicago time), it was on Good Morning America this morning and they are featuring it on Nightline.

Tonight's Nightline

The Long Haul

U.S. troops in Iraq were told they'd soon return home; instead, their tours have been extended. Anxious families stateside wonder, when will their loved ones come home?
