US Soldiers in St. Louis Admit to Rape and Murder in Iraq
Edited on Sun Nov-13-05 10:32 PM by ECH1969
During the course of my job this past Saturday night (September 17, 2005) in St. Louis, MO I ran across a rather interesting group of US soldiers.

The soldiers were part of a wedding party for a fellow soldier whose wedding was held in St. Louis. The wedding reception was held at Club Europe on Washington Avenue in the downtown entertainment district.

I picked up a group of two white males and one Latino male who were dressed to party and they wanted to go Harry’s which is another popular downtown St. Louis party spot. The group was immediately rude and disruptive and within a minute I almost had a physical confrontation with the Latino male who was sitting in the backseat of my car.

the rest is here, I am not sure what to think about its validity, I am leaning against it

2. I don't buy their story
Any person who has experienced warfare especially guerilla warfare does not enjoy killing and would not want to go back.

6. Man, you come from a fantasy world.

And are there not tens of thousands of paid mercenaries, "contractors" (hired killers) who love war, for the action, the pay and the free-for-all atmosphere?

3. Few years ago I would have been pushing the alert like a crazy man...
...to get this removed from DU. Now I don't know what to think any more. We need a new president.

4. nasty
I don't doubt the soldiers said that stuff and did rape and murder while in Iraq. I also don't doubt that they also exaggerated. Anyone that would brag about rape and murder is probably going to exaggerate it, too.

I wish it was 0% true and hope it is not 100% true. My opinion... who knows what to believe anymore? I feel like I am going insane.

5. There are no psychopaths in the military and there are no criminals...
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 12:25 AM by LaPera
or angry people either...One must be well educated or at least have a college degree with intelligence and a extremely high IQ to be in our military!

If you were abused and/or from a broken home, you are also not allowed, in our military because studies show it indeed has a negative effect...muderers are not allowed in the military, or felon's or anyone else that enjoys sadistic sex or hurting of other people...They are well screened.

They are ALL clean cut, older & very mature individuals, well educated, honorable upstanding people in our military and they would NEVER torture....They are after all, Americans!!!!

8. I believe that the vast majority of our Military are good people
But, as in any group of people, there are bad seeds, unfortunately.
