* DRUNK video clip link
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 02:20 AM by upi402
This demeanor is very similar to the wedding vid clip where he is known to be drunk.
A "recovering" alcoholic who is given the responsibility of 'the football' and has slipped off the wagon is too dangerous to let continue.
Alcoholism has, as one of its components in recovery, a dealing with the insanity of the disease. Step 2 of the AA 12 step program deals with this character defect.

This man needs to be removed from office immediately. It is even more dangerous than a man with mental illness of another sort holding the Presidency.

http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/11/13.html#a5842

This is very very dangerous. The media traitors will not touch this. We may be in deeper trouble than we thought it could possibly be.

crooksandliars.com -thank you very much.

7. Even my mom, who keeps quiet but whom I believe is a closet Freeper,
Thought there was something TERRIBLY wrong. Her comment: "Drunk or stroke". Well, he's talked "normally" (uh, well, you know what I mean) since then, so that pretty much rules out a stroke.

Can being drunk while performing his duties be considered a "high crime or misdemeanor"?

46. 25th Amendment
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 04:13 AM by Carolab
http://www.doctorzebra.com/prez/a_amendment25.htm

"Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President."

But then we'd get Cheney--unless/until he also becomes "disabled" or INDICTED.

74. Not an expert, but as I can't see your videos either, my 2cents:
first, I doubt mac is going away from quicktime as that seems to be one of their flagship programs. Quicktime is available in a lot of places for free, is it something you could use?

second, I love the idea of your website and I really wish I could see what you've got. One request if you have all of the clips in some format where they could be edited together: I've always thought someone could make an incredible video of all the times bush has smiled when talking about death and destruction. He does it all the time; I can recall a few famous times myself, and I'd love to see them edited together with the tag line of "why is this man smiling?"

I would have liked to have seen him staggering across the lawn, with Laura desperately trying to prop his drunk ass up.

You could tell he was three sheets to the wind by the way he flung his arm around Pickles and nearly knocked her over.

28. Remember when Nixon took to drinking?
Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 02:51 AM by Carolab
http://hnn.us/blogs/comments/16341.html

About that Drinking Story that's Making the Rounds
On a blog like this one it is incumbent on us to comment, it seems to me, on the National Enquirer story that George W. Bush has fallen off the wagon:

Family sources have told how the 59-year-old president was caught by First Lady Laura downing a shot of booze at their family ranch in Crawford, Texas, when he learned of the hurricane disaster. His worried wife yelled at him: "Stop, George."

The story quotes some anonymous sources (naturally) and the psychiatrist/professor Justin Frank, who last year wrote a psychobio of Bush (see the article by him published by HNN.) Frank says he believes Bush has resumed drinking.

Over at Cliopatria Jonathan Dresner bravely deconstructs the story. He reaches the conclusion that it won't matter to Bush's supporters if Bush has started drinking and probably shouldn't matter to Bush's critics (he was bad before he drank; will drinking make him worse?).

I disagree. I think that in this case it can safely be argued that if President Bush actually has started drinking we had all better pray for his swift recovery. Presidents have to be clear-headed 24 hours a day. Often they have to act before all the facts are in. Usually, advice from aides requires choices to be made. Should a president suddenly be unable to think quickly or decisively bad decisions will almost certainly result--either because he makes a bad decision or his aides decline to bring a matter to him in a timely manner for him to make a decision. Anthony Summers, whether his account of Richard Nixon was sexed-up or not, demonstrates persuasively the risks of a president who indulges. One day Nixon and Kissinger were talking on the phone. A Kissinger aide, David Young, listening in, heard a distinctly drunk Nixon tell Kissinger, referring to North Vietnam, 'Henry, we've got to nuke them."

29. Most alcoholics do not recover and the ones that recover are mostly
the ones who go to AA. I've seen plenty of people try to stay sober by going to church and most end up drunk. I'm not saying it can't be done. but I have heard from a lot of people who tried that way and failed. I don't think they have AA meetings in the White House.

Of course you could take the route my grandmother did to help my grandfather stay sober. Fire a shotgun right over his head and into the bedroom wall. I guess that bullet made an impression on him also.

Now that I think about it drinking alcoholics are notorious liars. Maybe that is why our pResident can't tell the truth.

Look at that grin.

The C&L clip is a compilation of MSM news. None of them noted his "strange behavior" did they?

81. That's a great picture. I like the expression on the face
of the woman right over Bush's left shoulder.

Bush's face looks weird in the piccies and the vid. It's like he's wearing one of those fat-suits they use in movies. He's puttin' on the pounds at an alarming rate.

50. The way he always hangs his arm around Laura is disrespectful.
He uses her as a leaning post and demoralizes her. He reminds me of a a frat boy who thinks his girlfriend is property. How can this family be representative and in charge of this once great great country? What a waste of so much, a surplus, young soldiers lives that could be alive today if it weren't for bush, a once united country after 9/11, he squandered that and everything else pandering to a small group of rich right winged opportunities who want more riches. It's just sad, I really wish every cable news channel had nothing on but the "Bush Impeachment" trials. That would be something to watch and cheer for while our country reunites itself without this corruptness of this administration.

Jesus. Sounding like a corn-pone does not a man-of-the-people make.

71. Wow. That has to be the drunkest he's ever been on tape.
That was just completely obvious, please, the man was slurring his ass off and drunker than Cooter Brown.

He never quit drinking. And he probably has "wet brain" to boot.

Great.

73. HIC!
I could just about smell his 180 proof breath through the monitor. Whew!

How can you see someone like that in PERSON and not know they're drunk when it's so obvious even on tape?

I've seen him like this before, just not this obvious. I grew up with an alcoholic stepfather. My mom appointed me "watcher of his behavior" to see if he was drinking again (um, he rarely ever stopped!). It's amazing the little nuances of voice, inflection, facial expression and body language you learn is that of a drunk trying to cover up the fact that they've been drinking. It's not a field I ever aspired to be an expert in, but that's what 20 years of Drunk-Watching will get ya.

I'm sorry but the look on Kilgore's face while shrub was slurring was priceless. He had that sly "I'm fucked look" for some reason it reminded me of Seinfeld trying not to laugh at Kramer.

89. Is this on TV news? I don't watch anymore
can you tell me if it's on the TV news please?
It's so vitally important. It's doubtful that most Americans will understand how sick this man is. He is very dangerous if he's back drinking. He really MUST be controlled, if not ousted immediately. At least temporarily. He needs inpatient treatment center care, not more Jack Daniels and lies.
