History is going to look at this President and.... |
|
Marvel at how he squandered the domestic and international support he got post 9/11
Document that, indeed, he lost the 2000 election
Cite his appointment as the low point in US representative democracy
Document his administration's lies
Call him a small minded fool.
Please feel free to pile on...........

2. Oh, I'm quite sure that the history books will say... |
|
something along the lines of...
"Modern historians are still at a loss as to just how George Bush stayed in the Oval Office as long as he did. By all accounts, the crimes his administration committed, many in full view of the public, should have had him run out of Washington, if not arrested..."

5. He recently passed Reagan for most vacation days taken |
|
by any president - ever. That includes Reagan's time recovering from being shot. And we still have 3 years to go.

9. And the American people. |
|
I think that historians will debate for a long time over what happened to the American people during this time, and how eager some of us were to have a benevolent dictator doing unspeakable things to people in foreign countries. I know that I still don't understand it. I used to think I knew what this country was all about and I had faith that the American people would never allow this kind of secretive, intimidating and corrupt government to exist. I'll never have the kind of pride in this country I used to have. That's what makes me sad; even though people are starting to wake up, we as a nation were so easily "managed". That's a reality that a dozen liberal Democratic administrations wouldn't be able to make up for.

6. Assert 9/11 was made to happen on purpose |

And that the investigation of 9/11 was an improvement in cover ups over the Warren Commission.
The future will wonder how we let Congress take away our basic freedoms and extend federal power and the power of the presidency so far of the limits set on them by the Constitution. How did Germany let Hitler lead the nation to world war and how did the American people have a war for global domination and not even know it was happening?
People will ask why nobody introduced Articles of Impeachment in the House. People will ask why we did not adopt national health care when the system is broken. People will wonder why the words fascism and Empire were so excluded from people's minds and speech. Peopl will wonder why there was not a strong voice for sweeping Congress clean when they had failed so miserably at promoting the general welfare. People will ask how we let the drug war continue when the Internet was there to inform everyone of the harms of prohibition including the corruption and erosion of the Constitution. People will ask why in the world was cannabis still illegal in 2006 when there was not even a sound reason to make the greatest medicinal plant in history illegal in the first place. They will ask how we let the military budget grow rapidly when people died of hunger, cold, and lack of health care and the infrastructure crumbled. They will ask why we did not use present technology to clean the mercury and sulfur from our coal-burning electrical plants, especially when people needed jobs. They will ask how we did not launch a massive investigation into what is behind the big increases in autism. They will ask how we let the mountaintops of West Virginia into the valleys and creeks. They will ask why in a time of free trade, you could import anything but medicine. They will ask why we did not reign in the profits and practices of the pill companies. They will ask why there was not a requirement that all gas stations had to offer gasohol with 10% ethanol and why there was not a hybrid that you could plug into a house outlet. They will ask how we let MTBE get into the ground water. They will ask why we did not bust up the 6 largest media companies.
People of the future will ask "What the hell were you thinking about while the country turned to ruin?"
