The tabloids are turning against *. I'd say their readers are some of *'s "base". I think this guy might finally be in some real trouble.

3. I don't know
Secret might be stretching it a little. But then I guess it flows better than "Bush's pretty damn obvious breakdown."

4. That's funny, but - I really don't want to be the first to say it but here
goes -

BEING IN THERAPY IS NOT A BAD THING.

(Having a breakdown isn't necessarily a bad thing either . . . unless, of course, it happens while you're the president of the United States.)

9. Jesus. I can't imagine what it would be like to have Bush in therapy.
I've worked with difficult patients, I've worked with malignant narcissists, I've worked with a lotta psychopaths, I've worked with a few (adult) Poor Little Rich Kids, but the prospect of having all that rolled together in one patient--how would you even begin?

Maybe torture isn't as bad an idea as I thought it was.

15. I don't know, I've always thought my
mother, who has had Borderline Personality Disorder, untreated, for time out of mind, would be quite the treat to treat.

I get tired just thinking about it. And I'm not even a therapist/psychiatrist/counselor.

16. Are we related?
I have no idea what my mother's problem was (suicide at age 33) but I sure wish there were a way to find out how she'd be diagnosed today.

Wow. I was a real project for my therapist . . . I can't imagine my mother getting real help instead of a psychiatrist who gave her VALIUM. :eyes:

20. I'm so sorry.
You could read about BPD and see if the things you remember about her match up, Borderline is pretty distinct. When you know one and you read a description of it, you just sit there yelling "YES! THAT'S EXACTLY IT!"

I'm sorry for your pain, and for the pain your mother must have been in. My mother also had an aunt with "troubles" (as they said back then) who committed suicide at the age of 38 in the 1950s. We'll never know what was really wrong.

:-(

healed. But I do thank you for your empathy.

I'd like to find the quack who treated her and wring his scrawny neck.

They love you, they hate you, they love you...and above all they FEAR ABANDONMENT!!

The world's best book title was on a book about Borderline Personality Disorder.

"I HATE YOU. (Don't leave me!)"

((Actually, that was the SECOND best book title I've ever seen. The all-time best is "The Idiot's Guide to Near-Death Experiences," but that's another story.)

19. I've read that book (the first one). It was very spot-on.
Imagine being raised by a BPD. I cut off all contact with her over six years ago, which was good for my emotional health.

She's manipulative, unpredictable, talks your ass off, sometimes violent, sometimes sweet, has no idea how to give and take in a relationship, is paranoid, narcissistic, promiscuous, abuses prescription drugs, I could go on and on.

Now that I've had several years of quiet, I can feel sorry for her. I wouldn't wish BPD on ANYONE. I mean that.

10. I think the extent of his therapy lays in a bottle of Jim Beam.........
from the looks of some of his more recent press conferences and candid shots he appears to have not only fallen off the wagon, but that the wagon has rolled over top of him and is dragging him along with it.
Bush is DEFINITELY back on the sauce again, there's no doubt. I was somewhat skeptical when the stories first started circulating, but now I'm convinced. The day to day pressures of the job have seriously gotten to him and I agree, I hope his IS in therapy right now. Our nation's idiot is too close to the "football" to have mental deficiencies. I'm hoping he's getting the BEST therapy available and that the man carrying the "football" has a death grip upon it.

Maybe I just don't know what a drunk looks like. Or maybe it's because, since I get too mad and my BP goes up, I can't ever watch him on TV. But I didn't see a drunk in the footage... maybe you can tell me what to look for.

OK, you folks liked the first one so much, here's another:

My little scanner can't handle the wide tabloid pages very well, but I think that's OK in this case.

I almost never buy any of these publications, but couldn't help myself this time.

26. Yes, it is
You probably can't read the little star caption thing to the left of Rove's image, but it says, 'Top aides like Karl Rove can keep working while in jail'

I should have uploaded a larger image to Photobucket, I guess. There's a lot of things I'm not very good at, but I have found that I improve every day if I will only try. Tomorrow I will provide a larger image here if you let me know you are interested.

It takes a long time to upload these images, even with a broadband connection. That is not a complaint, I just want you to know you can not expect immediate results. I'm working on it right now. I will post both images in a new thread, as you have asked.

This subject is really just for fun. I gotta have my fun, don't you?
