5. Both sites are horrendous abuses of PHP
the excellent DC Forums software is maltreated horribly in the novogate page and the protestwarrior page is an appalling mess. Hard to tell what the pages actually stand for.

21. Really?
I thought the protestwarrior site looked pretty well put together....Sort of reminded me of shit in a pretty wrapper.
I didn't go to the other one you mentioned though.

28. My largest prob with the Warrier site
excluding concepts, was that it was all on page one - I don't scroll for new content and neither do most folks and most designers build around that.

6. Okay, show of hands: WHo on DU or any other left website has ever
advocated the "taking down" of right-wing websites? Sure, we may voice our wishes that they'd all go away, but has there ever been a democratic site organizing the hacking and sabotaging of republican sites? Ever? If there has, please let me know. I doubt it, we're not as mean and juvenile as these people.

Apart from trolling Free Republic, who, frankly, were asking for it....

11. Why destroy them
When without our help they are very capable of destroying themselves?

Besides, only someone with the maturity of a 13 year old would consider destroying a Website to be cool.

15. As I recall it is against the posting rules...
...here at DU to advocate "crashing" another board. I have seen posts removed from this list for just those reasons.

7. I see they follow suit
to underhanded tactics like Rove by trying to go into sites dishonestly, never up front to debate honestly. I guess its nice the sheep of the extreme right have their own site though.

26. yep, I despise those tactics. Underhanded, sneaky, dishonest,
calculating, methodical, and chickenshit. Why is it they can't fight on the level on the up and up.

9. It's funny to see how the Right adopts
Radical Left wing tactics in order to push their agenda.

What a bunch of communists!

So much for the war on communism if it now okay for conservatives to use the tactics of those that they moraly and ethicaly hated.

23. Huh?
Karl Rove and his crew aren't from the left wing....last time I checked, he wasn't a commie. Richard Nixon and his crew wasn't from the left wing nor were they commies. Guess I fail to understand your allusion to radical left wing tactics.

Nah sneaky underhanded tactics are the hallmark of conservatives....and always have been. The funny thing is, is that most who resort to those tactics around here, operate under the misconception that they are cleverly flying under the radar...when in fact they are making themselves the butt of many private jokes among those they assume they are fooling....that is until they become tedious and are flushed. :)

14. Sad.
They're being marginalized just like the rest of us, but they don't see it. Instead they just accept the happy messages coming out of their TV's.

Meh. Maybe they'll wake up someday.

17. Leftist generally don't attack free speech
The Left knows it's success and protection ultimately lie in free speech and accessibility.
They ultimately know that the point of the private media is to monopolize 'information' in order to sell it back or use it rule over people...these Statist campaigns to silence 'speech' basically feed into this oligarchical control...
Ironic I know...shutting down freedom to make way for 'market' freedom

19. Would it be considered
"attacking" free speech to claim racism and shut down some idiotic "affirmative action" bake sale?

I don't know the average age of people on here, but I was pretty active in the 80's. There was plenty to be active about too, BTW.

But I don't remember taking things we were against and shutting them down because we didn't agree. Half of the point of being against something, is to PROVE it wrong. It seems that shutting down the opposition on a "technicality" isn't really accomplishing anything.

18. "I became tamed by devouring my own wings"
That quote sums up their entire forum.

Flight/wings have always represented 'freedom' which these people (or at least the person sporting this quote) has no desire to have. No wonder they blindlessly follow the right-wing shrills. The shrills like Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity et.al don't want people to have any opinion but what they (the shrills) give them.

Obviously if the people of this forum just opened their minds a bit (aka "spread their wings") they'd be amazed and what they could learn and experience.

I hope that I never become 'tamed' for that means my brain is pretty much been shut off completely.

22. Yeah - guess it could be considered "cyber-terrorism"
How much ya wanna bet that DU would be a low priority item for John Ashcroft? Now the freeper site on the other hand... And unless we were a commercial or commerce site Dubya could care less.

Actually, if we complained to the Feds - we'd probably all be carted off to jail as "terrorists."

We'll get Ashcroft on this right away. That is if he is finished taking care of the Tommy Chong menace that threatens American society.

Maybe they're taking their time. Either that, or they're full of shit. (I'll vote for the latter)
