CNN regarding White Phosphorus: "Either insurgents or sympathizers" |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 11:00 PM by sabra
The CNN report concluded that the Pentagon is conveying, that the residents of Fallujah were warned for weeks, and there for those who were killed, must of either been insurgents or sympathizers.
Oh yeah, I am so happy we got those 1 year old baby sympathizers :-( :banghead:

1. this is unraveling on them daily.... |
|
First it was "we did not us WP against people," then "we did use WP, but only against enemy fighters," and now "everyone inside of Fallujah was considered an enemy fighter, no matter what." Now wait for someone to point out that the U.S. prevented fleeing civilians from leaving, and the dots will be fully connected.

13. If I remember correctly the first building targeted was the hospital. |
|
And that act, by the way, was also most likely a war crime in itself.

14. yep-- that's correct.... |
|
U.S. forces targeted the hospital because in earlier offensives doctors had provided reports of civilian casualties, and I think the Marines going into Fallujah expected to kill lots of civilians from the onset, so they made certain to shut down the source of info about it.

that it most likely also killed all the people who were too proud to leave their homes, whether they were sympathizers or not.
If we keep at this long enough, the only adults left in Iraq will be those who don't mind sucking up to the US just to be afforded a life in endless poverty.

6. Some (many?) had nowhere else to go |
|
Many of those that did leave had to stay in tents in the desert for many weeks.

5. The assault on Fallujah was a war crime. Period. |
|
Whether we used white phosphorus or not.
What gives us the right to order people to leave their homes, declare those remaining to be terrorists or terrorist sympathizers, and then annihilate them?
We had no right to invade and occupy their country in the first place. Now, those who continue to fight against what we have imposed are branded terrorists. If their women and children refuse to abandon them and their homes, they are terrorists too.
When will our mission to kill all these terrorists be accomplished?

7. Didn't you get the memo? When you fight a war |
|
against terrorism, all the people you kill are insurgents or terrorists. All prisoners are insurgents or terrorists (that's why torture is ok). And lastly, any country we attack, this applies.

for 'sympathizers'. You can off them any way you want. Civilians: off limits. Civilian sympathizers? Sure, go ahead and naplam the fuck out of them. Does anybody at CNN do anything other than stenography?
