Political TV ads. A rant. |
|
The governor's race has offically started here in Ohio. Republican Jim Petro has started saturating the airwaves with Petro for Governor ads.
A few things annoy the hell out of me about this. One: his ads started the Monday after the general election. I have 'election ad fatigue'. Lets give it a rest for a few weeks, eh?
Two: I don't know for sure (yet) when the primary election is, but am I really going to have to see this asshat's commercial all winter?
The only thing I can hope for is that he'll burn us all out so nobody votes for him.

I'm glad I'm in Connecticut, at least we don't get a ton of ads, I hate all election advertising.
I really wish there could be an agreement that would limit ads to something like 6 weeks before an election. Even better if it could include ads by the PAC's and lobby groups.
If I ever see another commercial by those swift idiots I may lose my mind.

2. Actually, he started a few days earlier |

with an attack on Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh (a dem, of course). An "end-around", if you will.
He bypassed her office to come out and "clear" a convict due to DNA evidence.
The issue really is not that the convict was not linked via DNA, but the fact that he totally ignored any procedures just to score some political points.
Of course, all the "Dems are evil" letter-writers are out there already with the talking points going at her . . . "She's holding an innocent man!" - This pretty much clears him of raping a kid. This has yet to clear him of the murder.
Funny thing is, he's not clearing up the executions list much . . .
