Why has no Democrat spoken out against Bush* disobeying Congressional |
|
Law on Presidential Papers Act. Congress passed a law and it was signed into LAW that Presidential Papers MUST be released after no more than twelve years after a President leaves office but may be released sooner. Bush* just plain ignored that LAW and thumbed his nose at Congress and not a single Democrat has objected to it. And they wonder why their popularity is as low or lower than Bush*'s. When Democrats start speaking up about more than just Iraq, which has become obvious to all a terrible blunder then maybe they will regain some respect. Right now they are still looked upon as complicit in all things Bush*.

What presidential (snicker) papers are you refering to? You said "no more than twelve years after a President leaves office", .... now, Im not rocket scientist but, isnt he still in office?
What is the obvious point Im missing that will make me feel very stupid when articulated? :)

2. This was a law passed years ago |
|
As soon as shrub was installed as President, he issued an Executive Order not to comply with it. I don't think Executive Orders override laws.
Anyway, it would have released a lot of information from the Reagan and Bush I regimes, and a lot of embarrassing things would come out now about people in the current administration. And Daddy.

3. I am talking about Reagan and Bush 1 here and Clinton if he wanted |

The law say no more than twelve years may pass after a President leaves office before all Presidential Papers must be made public. They can chose to release the papers after eight years but by law no more than twelve years may pass without the release of all papers. Since most people in the current Administration were also in both the Reagan and the Bush 1 administration and they were engaged in criminal activity such as Iran Contra Bush* chose to not release any Papers at all in complete defiance of Congressional Law. what could be in Reagan's Papers that Bush* does not want the public to know about?
