9. Sounds like the "Big Dog" should make plans....... |
|
to start spending his political capital.
And I know he'll start to do that as soon as Hillary announces that she's running for President.

18. Given this relates to his position in the world as opposed to solely |
|
the US, his capital being used in regard to a possible Hillary run would mean nothing whereas his influence on world issues is REAL capital.

19. "His influence on world issues is REAL capital." |
|
Exactly.....If Hillary is elected, he can use his political capital throughout the world to re-build all the diplomatic bridges that the idiot from Texas has burned!
Maybe he can undo some of the damage done to our world image by * and his neo-con minions.........or is it the damage by the neo-con minions to *?

20. As I see it, he can use that capital with or without Hillary |
|
In terms of how he is seen in the world, he stands on his own, Hillary is not essential to his ability to use his capital, Bill's popularity is his alone not coupled with Hillary as it seems to be,to a greater degree, in the U.S.

5. Go ahead george, have a drink |
|
Wrap your lips around that bottle and pretend you're a president of some importance. Suck down that alcohol and wish that you were as popular as your predecessor. Fucking hurts doesn't it bitch. But look on the bright side, you are loved at free republic. Put that on your resume.
Go Big Dog!

11. No wonder Bush was furious at Bill's actually pretty vapid |
|
and not very revelatory comment on the Iraq debacle. Any public pronouncement Bill makes on a significant issue is world news within hours.
And of course, his immense stature, just in domestic politics in the beginning, was enough to thwart old man Bush's most cherished plans.
The latter's elevation of Junior to the presidency reminds me of how I'm prone to react, how I lose my mental poise, if I'm not in time to place my best horse-racing bets, and start betting bitterly and incautiously. Not sensible when the stake for the bet is the health and safety of the world.

28. getting so much done "it's like a third term" -- boy THAT'll p.o. shrub! |
|
brilliant timing, clinton's been comparatively low profile, mostly playing the role he needs to to further hillary's career.
but now that the shrub train is grinding to a halt, it's really crushing to appear outperformed by a former prez!
what a great time for him to come out and say "i'm STILL the big dawg!"
