6. I just looked it up, he got a 0% NARAL rating meaning
he takes an anti-abortion position.

2. WTF? Why is it everytime some Dem Rep. or Senator talks tough...
that people start talking about that person running for President in '08?

We need the strong Dems in the House and the Senate. We can't afford to lose more seats!

Let's run a good, non-Senator for President!

7. possibly as a VP nominee
but not for the presidential nomination. He would be someone like Lloyd Bentsen, who would add experience and stature to the ticket especially if a Governor were nominated.

8. He voted for school prayer and voted against stopping ANWAR drilling
He voted against banning gay adoptions. He opposes the social security phase-out. He is pro-free trade. He is for spending more money on defense. He opposes reduction od the use of coal and nuclear power. He voted against "protecting the pledge of allegiance". And he supports the anti-flag burning amendment.

I respect his position on the war but he sounds like a moderate republican.

9. He'll be 76 then.
I don't think anyone of that age has ever run for president. Reagan was 69 in 1980
