Key point about Iraq war
In my humble opinion.....

The US engaged in the Iraq War - not because of terrorism - but because Saddam was deemed a threat - and WMD were used to justify that threat.

So when Bush says that the US military is engaged in a fight against terrorism - he is lying - or once again misleading the nation. Iraqi's are fighting against the occupation and they are fighting for control of power there.

It is abhorrent that Bush use Iraq as a battleground for his war against terror - for Iraq was not supporting Osama Bin Laden or Al Zaqarwi....and the people there have paid a horrific price for this folly.

Murtha is correct. The US military cannot see a win in sight. It is time to withdraw and take the target off their backs.
