They desperately want to pull US troops out of Iraq and save their political careers. But they want control of Iraqs resources alot more. And those uppity Iraqis don't seem to be willing to accept a US puppet regime.

will tell us exactly why we are there or what our goals are. They know they can't reveal the truth or there would be an unprecedented uprising. They are simply choosing between the lesser of two punishments to get what they want.

All talk is about a "security force" (police) of 250,000 but no intentions of an air force or tanks or any other means of protecting themselves from their neighbors.
