2.  I voted no. No proof that he is drinking, just supposition.
Why are all "yes" answers good results?

It's a poll, and the results are the results.

13. Well, my Grumpy friend...

Are you an avowed "former" alcoholic? And why the hell would you drink champagne from a flute glass? I must say, I'm quite curious...

I stand corrcted. I read your post below. Just the same, what are the odds that the Chimp-in-Chief is merely raising his glass as an honorarium?

6. A former alcoholic drinking
And there is no such thing as one-time social drink for a former alcholic.

If I have trouble with drinking, can’t I simply reduce my alcohol use without stopping altogether?

It depends. If you are diagnosed as an alcoholic, the answer is "no." Studies show that nearly all alcoholics who try to merely cut down on drinking are unable to do so indefinitely. Instead, receiving the necessary professional support for cutting out alcohol (that is, abstaining) is nearly always necessary for successful recovery. And anyone--moderate drinkers included--who finds it difficult to stay within their drinking limit should consider seeking professional care before what seems like a small problem becomes a serious one.

10. No such thing as a FORMER alcoholic.
I am one, sober 25 years, and I have toasted with wine and champagne many times over those years but I did not drink it.

As I said earlier, nothing has been proved and speculation does no one any good.

12. Where there is smoke there is fire
And what is the truth/lie ratio of Bush? The guy lies so much that he can't even remember the truth anymore.

11. I don't know if he is drinking or not
but I do know alcoholics who partake of wine at communion and have a sip at toasts, so that is not necessarily proof.

I'm more inclined to believe the behind-the-scenes leaks we've been hearing, however.

7. Saw this on another site this a.m. ...
"President Bush said Saturday there would be no early troop withdrawal because "sober judgment" must prevail over emotional calls to end the military mission before Iraq is stabilized."

Intersting choice of words, n'est pas?
