Some Favored this War in Order to Remove Saddam.............
Now that he is deposed, why isn't it time to go?

Why can't we just put a bullet in his head, pack up our shit and leave. Mission accomplished.

We should never have entered this war in the first place, but why can't we just declare victory and split?

1. We didn't have to go to war to remove him. But you're right, now that
he's gone we should have left long ago. bush**s fifth or sixth excuse was fulfilled and the Mission Accomplished banner was unfurled, we should have left. But Halliburton and the rest of them hadn't milked us dry at that point.

2. Why didn't we hand him over to the Hague?
Isn't that what usually happens to people like him?

4. The first general in charge started getting everyone ready for the
election. He was fired and the election canceled. We're there for the oil. We don't have it yet. And if we pull out we probably never will get another drop from Iraq.

As for sending Sadam to the Hague - Reagan and Bush 1 would have to go with him.

5. I strongly favored removal of Saddam
I believe it could have been accomplished diplomatically without a single shot being fired and a UN Peace Keeping Force could have controlled the situation until a new government was formed.

Total deaths as a direct result would have been less than 1000. That's total death, not peacekeeper deaths.
