Did anyone see the dualing ex cia people this morning on with Wolf Blitzer? That dude is a PNAC staffer...I think it would have been fair to disclose that little tid bit.

Reuel Marc Gerecht is the Director of the Middle East Initiative at the Project for the New American Century and a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He is recently a contributor to Present Dangers: Crisis and Opportunity in American Foreign Policy (Editors Robert Kagan & William Kristol; Encounter Books, 2000) and is the author under the pseudonym of Edward Shirley of Know Thine Enemy: A Spy's Journey into Revolutionary Iran (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 1997). A former Middle Eastern specialist in the CIA, Mr. Gerecht writes frequently on the Middle East, Central Asia, terrorism, and intelligence, in such publications as the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The International Herald Tribune, The Atlantic Monthly, The New Republic, The Weekly Standard, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The Middle East Quarterly, Playboy, and Talk.

1. He sure was a true believer, and he even said he thought we'd win in
Iraq, too.

I figured he was a partisan of PNAC, but I never dreamed he was a staff member!

Thanks, Wolf, for letting us know the whole story. (Not)

2. Thanks
There was something just so phony about him. He came off as an actor in a D grade film.

6. I thought the same thing.
Especially when he looked into the camera and not at Wolfie. Bad actor is right.

3. Their "titles" spoke volumes to me
The called him an "agent", they called her an "officer". She seemed to know what she was talking about on all subjects and had more credibility to me.

4. Write Wolfie and point that out to him, that he should have indentified
that person as a PNAC member and operative, if you will. While you are at it you can tell him that his biased reporting is the reason many people you know (like me) don't watch him anymore. Ask him if he has noticed that many disgruntled viewers have stopped writing him (like me) because we gave up on him doing his job as a journalist.

5. More Astroturfing...We Could Sod Montana By Now...
The regime not only rolled out its better spinners, it's got its AEI and Heritage Institute plants on as many talk shows as they can squeeze them on. Usually this goon shows up on Washington Journal (the AEI's usual TV hangout), but I guess the regime needed to roll him out to help Wolfie convince us how we really think. :eyeroll:

Gotta give the Repugnicans credit...they have a well coordinated, organized PR effort when they want to get out a lie or distortion and have the corporate media whores all trained on how the drill goes. When they call on a Democrat, it's a Joe Biden or Harold Ford. Seems like we rarely get a friendly "objective" voice on these shows.

8. That figures...
He was quite the asshat! The woman from the CIA basically said in a dozen years, with thousands of deaths, we can leave something close to an operating government in Iraq. He thought VICTORY was just around the corner.

Kind'a like the Black Knight from Python.

"Just a flesh wound! Come on!!"

11. When you hear AEI, think PNAC - AEI is the think tank and activists
Edited on Sun Nov-20-05 06:27 PM by higher class
for PNAC. PNAC says what they want to do, AEI figures out how to do it, and both are represented on the screen in front of you - whether tv or pc.

Together AEI and The Heritage Foundation have an expert or dual, triple, quadruple experts on every subject under the sun and if they aren't on Washington Journal, they are on the main propaganda networks, AND if that is not enough, you can hear their entire propaganda seminar all day on C-Span.

They have special backgrounds with their logos.

They come up with special propaganda to feed the the Heritage Foundation beneficiaries - the born agains.

And they are funded by barons, foundations, corporations who benefit (plus their stockholders), thefts of taxpayer monies, victims of pension bailouts, missing billions from DOD and HUD. The cuts to east, west, north, and south to fund their ideas and agenda - against you, against me.

12. wrote him a little email and it went like this...
Mr. Blitzer - I'll be brief. Today you had a guest on your show, Reuel Gerecht, who is a paid staffer of PNAC. Instead of an interesting discussion between two CIA insiders, Mr. Gerecht clearly represented the view of the rest of the neo-con cabal at PNAC. You should have disclosed his day job. It makes it hard to trust your journalistic integrity when you don't point these things out. It makes it easy to not watch your show.

Anyone else wanna join in?

13. However, with CNN being both a corporate and CIA tool, they won't
be giving you the most important details. That would be empowering Americans and thats not their job.

Their job as corporate/CIA tools, is to maintain the illusions and distractions and fear.

when that PNAC jackass was saying those things about Plame.

Did anyone else notice how he mis-pronounced "Plame?"
