Freeper: "shouldn't catch Bin Laden, cause that will cause more violence" |
|
So a freeper called in on a radio show, and was proclaiming that we shouldn't capture UBL. For the reason of, if we do nab him, his followers will take many civilians hostage, and demand his release. And since our fearless leader doesn't negotiate with 'terrarists', many innocents people will die. Surprisingly the RW host rejected that notion, saying that we currently have monthly attacks by his 'followers', and capturing UBL would be a major blow to the cause...

1. Man, can you imagine what would be said if a Democrat said that? |
|
But yeah, the host was right in that case. If we can we should capture UBL. Doesn't seem like we are going to though. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

6. I'm pretty sure neither side has degrees in studies of terrorism |
|
They don't seem to understand the mentality, structure, and preventive measures...neither the RW host nor the freeper caller. From mwhat little I know I could point the faults with both their arguement.

I don't know whether to laugh or poke myself in the ear with a letter opener.
Can we deport people who were born here?
Please?

I never claimed to be the smartest guy in the world, but it most certainly be a good thing to capture Bin Laden. Deportation sounds better all the time. Let'em have their own little rw dumbfuck land. Call it "Stupidville" and make sure they are not allowed to leave.

We can airlift the entire portion of Austin out of town and into someplace a little more pleasant.
The rest of blue Texas can crash with us until things settle down! :silly:

11. Wouldn't not capturing him be... |
|
...in essence, a form of negotiating with terrorists? "OK, we'll give up the hunt for bin Laden and you don't kidnap or kill any civilians".

12. So, it's GOOD that Bush "doesn't care where Osame bin Laden is" after all. |
|
Amazing. He has a reason for everything and is 20 moves ahead in a very deep game, indeed. :eyes:

13. Then Why Should Clinton Have Done Something? |
|
Hasn't a regular mantra been "Sudan offered Clinton bin Laden and Clinton refused."? Well, then if Clinton hadn't refused, wouldn't that have led to more violence?
And, if getting the bad guys leads to more violence, then why are we in Iraq? Wouldn't getting rid of Saddam Hussein just lead to more violence. (Oh wait, that actually happened.) The Professor

to terrorists, that's what the freepers are. Thought they were against anything that even resembled appeasement.
What happened with the we do not negotiate with terrorists line. Isn't letting him go free a form of negotiation. We are basically telling him "Okay, you get to live. Now just make nice with us."
