How many times has the Pentagon said they were reducing troops by (?date?)

Last year it was by Christmas, later though they increased the number to 160,000. Then this year it was Christmas again. Now they say in 2006 they will reduce troops by 1/3.

Don't get me wrong, I would love even one trooper coming home, but you won't find me celebrating thanksgiving because of this talk.

However, I will be celebrating thanksgiving in lots of other ways. Like, thanks for DU! Thanks for the troops who are over there fighting for us. Thanks for the Democrats finally standing together voting 100% in the house when we need them to. Thanks for the Democrats getting tougher. Thanks to the 40,000,000 Americans who over the last year have decided they don't approve of Bush anymore.
