1. I sort of go to yes because
This party puts all sorts of know nothings into jobs just because they gave money to the party. We seem to be back to the 'royal we'

2. Party first--democracy last-- according to Republicans and others
Makes me think that the Republicans think not of Democracy first-- but of the interests of the Party first --when I read this headline:

IPS: China: Democracy is Fine but Party Comes First

3. A pattern to run any country into the ground.
I do not want even the Dem. to have all the power. I feel we are all safer if congress is split.

4. Amen to that but...
...first things first.

Let's regain control over at least one branch.

7. Good question, because the CIA will never be investigated
I just thought of the question, so I made it a poll question.

When I think of the CIA, I can only define them, as a corrupt institution. In addition, it seems to me that if the Republicans are corrupt in the USA that they are also internationally.

If they used money to influence politicians, why would they not use money to influence a CIA agent?

They could use a CIA agent to create offshore accounts etc., because they know no one will ever investigate the CIA.

8. More likely Mossad. But, come to think of it . . .

while he's not really CIA, there's that thing we now call BushCo, the rump Republican ex-spooks and int'l oil and arms trading cabal that cleans up after the US military spills its blood abroad. Carlyle Group is part of it, as is Halliburton, along with dozens of lesser international arms, surveillance and mercenary for hire companies that have sprung up in recent decades.

Abramoff has performed distinguished service to BushCo, funneling foreign money into the Republican Party coffers from various shady sources, including Saudi terrorist-finance banks and the looted proceeds of US companies that have been taken over by the global raiders. See, http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/10/17/122311/72

I have concluded that a reason that Bush didn't roll up the al-Qaeda cells he was told were inside the US during the summer of 2001 was to protect the Abramoff funding network, to give Republican-linked terrorist financiers more time to cover their tracks. That was a bad decision, Mr. President. That one's going to come back to haunt you.
