Saddam/Iraq WMD >.Have question??

Lets assume that Saddam REALLY was going to reconstitute their Nuke program; Does that mean he would have had a 'delivery system' for them? What would have it taken to hit Israel? Any of our Nato allies? Was he possible capable of this even before '91 War?

1. Nope, nope and nope.

He might have been able to threaten Israel IF he'd been looking for nuclear materials and technology (which he wasn't) and IF he'd been constructing long range missiles with accurate guidance systems (which he wasn't capable of) and IF he'd had a helluva lot of things that hadn't been embargoed for over a decade (which he didn't).

The whole crumbling edifice is based on nothing but a lot of hot air and a lot of wishful thinking, plus the dubious loyalties of the neocons in the Pentagon who pushed this thing through two administrations.

2. You don't think Saddam was trying to get nuclear materials and technology?

I mean I agree with the rest of your points; but always assumed the issue was that we had kept him from achieving his ends without having to go to war, not that he never wanted the bomb in the first place. On the contrary I'm sure prtty much every dictator throughout the world would like to get their hands on the bomb. I mean all you have to do is compare how we treat North Korea and Iraq to see why it might be desirable.
