Now we know why VandeHei carries the water for the Bushies so often. His sources are all friends of his wife and Tom THE FELON DeLay!

8. It is all over the blogs today!
After his performance last night on Olbermann, when he dropped the bomb and wouldn't talk about it with Keith, people were pissed. They did some digging....
Write the WaPo ombudsman and tell her what you think about VanderHei!
The only way we are going to expose these BushBot water carriers!

26. Too many people claim something and have nothing
to back it up with. Until there's a link, your info remains suspect at best.

Interesting how I ALWAYS see your handle causing trouble, and constantly harrassing people about links etc.....I gave out the information...Check it out for yourself...Don't want to believe it, don't......His wife was a congressional staffer for DeLay...sooooo...
just some info...not life or death.....But to make accusations is uncalled for ...But as I said I see you doing it all the time.

23. Have a look at this...
From http://www.nndb.com/people/871/000044739/

The most hated man in the White House press corps.

In July 2001, Milbank filed a pool report which managed to incense the White House. The summary of the President's morning, never meant to be read by the general public, was then leaked to National Review who promptly published the thing in an effort to shame the reporter. Instead, Milbank responded by producing a series of even more grandiloquent memos.

A member of Yale's secret society Skull and Bones, in March 2004 Milbank allegedly confided to Washington gossip columnist Lloyd Grove: "I have been assigned to monitor all secret hand signals during the debates. <...> I have it on good information that if this one gets tied up in a recount, Potter Stewart will return from the grave to write the majority opinion."

15. Howard Kurtz's wife, Sheri Annis, is a GOP operative
Edited on Tue Nov-29-05 10:56 AM by Bozita

http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/archives/720.html

Like every other political reporter in the country, Kurtz has been paying close attention to the California recall race, with plenty of attention on Arnold Schwarzenegger's campaign.

In fact, in his daily "Media Notes" column, Kurtz mentioned Schwarzenegger five times in five columns last week. Kurtz's work commented on the Schwarzenegger campaign's response to the groping allegations, the alleged praise for Hitler, the endorsements from California newspapers, etc.

All the while, Kurtz was offering analysis on the quality of the Schwarzenegger message. What Kurtz failed to mention is that his wife, Sheri Annis, has been Schwarzenegger's press secretary.

In other words, Kurtz is hardly a disinterested media critic, objectively considering a candidate's media strategy and communications efforts. Kurtz is critiquing the very message that his wife has been shaping, making this a fairly obvious conflict of interest. Either the Post should have asked a different writer to cover these issues, or, at a minimum, Kurtz should have informed readers of his personal ties to the campaign.

10. Several wives are on "payrolls" in the Delay/Abramoff web
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/3484962.html

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Sugar Land, now facing separate campaign finance charges in Texas, is one of the members under scrutiny, the sources said. Others include Sen. Conrad Burns, R-Mont., Rep. John Doolittle, R-Calif., and several members of Congress involved with Indian affairs, one of Abramoff's key areas of interest.

An attorney for DeLay, whose wife worked for a lobbying firm that received client referrals from Abramoff, said there was no connection between her work and congressional business. A spokesman for Doolittle, whose wife received payments from Abramoff's lobbying firm, also said there was no connection with her husband's position. Burns' office has said his actions were consistent with his support for improving conditions for Indian tribes.

Investigators also are gathering information about Abramoff's hiring of several congressional wives, sources said, as well as his referral of clients to Alexander Strategy Group, a lobbying and consulting firm run by former senior aides to DeLay. Financial disclosure forms show that the firm employed DeLay's wife, Christine, from 1998 to 2002.

Richard Cullen, an attorney for the DeLays, said Christine DeLay was hired by Buckham, an old family friend, to determine the favorite charity of every member of Congress. She was paid $3,200 to $3,400 a month for three years, or about $115,000 total, he said. "It wasn't like she did this 9 to 5, but it was an ongoing project," Cullen said, noting her work was commensurate with the project and had nothing to do with her husband or any official congressional business. "This was something that she found to be very interesting, very ... worthwhile."
