Canadian DU'ers: Is the vote of no confidence a bad or good thing?
Since I am not as up on Parliamentary Democracy, I assumed this is a bad thing for the Liberals (the equivalent of the Democrats) as the polls don't really rank high for the NDP (the equivalent of the Greens) but maybe I'm wrong?

Could someone explain this to me?

1. A no confidence vote can be bad for the ruling government, but....
...this time around we may end up spending millions on a new election and end up with pretty much the same results. That is, a Liberal minority government. The no-confidence thing is really a power play of the other leaders.
