1. Are you familiar with...
... firedoglake?

http://firedoglake.blogspot.com

A couple of very ironic lady lawyers commenting on the various scandals centering around our Republican, umm, friends in Congress and the White House.

The Rude Pundit would be right up your alley, too, if you haven't visited there:

http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/

Media Matters (David Brock does penance for his sins):

http://mediamatters.org/

Billmon's pretty good:

http://billmon.org/

Gee, mo, I would have thought you'd know `em all. Kind of hard to recommend unless we know who you regularly visit.

Cheers. (btw, been beatin' up on the bar owners lately about access?) (Further btw, what instrument do you play?)

7. I met a lady a long time ago...
... who after asking me did I play any music and I said, yes, 6- and 12-string guitar, mostly country blues, and she said, "well, I mostly really like harmonica players who play with their shirts off. That's really sexy."

Show up half-naked and they'll build ramps for you. :P

14. Media matters is one of the better ones, because it debunks statements
from RW media as well as mainstream media, is generally very well documented.

If you are familiar with Brock, the site's creator, he used to BE a tool in the RW media, so he knows the players and their ways.

http://www.mouthswideopen.org/links.shtml LINKS

check the THE ARMY MEN PROJECT

www.mouthswidopen.org:
We're an ad hoc group of friends and acquaintances that started to come together in early 2002 to raise our voices and act on our convictions. While many of us are theatre artists, visual artists, musicians, singers, actors and writers, we're also bookkeepers, students, carpenters, researchers, teachers, fact-checkers, scientists, bike messengers and flea market mavens. We're committed to fostering dialogue about the current administration's policies, to creating and disseminating materials that help spread the message of alternative thought, to promoting discussion, and to encouraging others to join together in a similar spirit. We recognize the need for community, for organization and communication, and for the pooling of resources, energy and time. There is strength in numbers.
Our commitment to working for change is ongoing. It's even more crucial now, post-election, that people seeking global justice and peace continue to participate in the civic dialogue of our time in whatever way possible. Our motto, the Gunter Grass statement: "The job of a citizen is to keep your mouth open." - refers to the job of a citizen, a concept at the core of why the work of our group, and groups like ours, is a social imperative. Being a citizen does take work, it's a responsibility, and democracy can't flourish without active citizens enriching and enlivening its fundamental principles.

18. www.huffingtonpost.com
www.huffingtonpost.com is a truly great collection of essays by excellent writers. It also has a great search feature to find progressive articles.

www.alfrankenweb.com/forum is an entertaining site that is a mini-DU.

19. Smirkingchimp.com
is a good collection of anti-Chimp and liberal writing that is fresh every day. Molly Ivins often shows up there and Ed Naha's columns are funny and informative. Moer like Buzzflash than a blog.
