Did You See Tonight's CBS News? The Segment About The Amputees...
... was heartbreaking. Despite the positive attitude and optimistic outlook that the young men had... it was still so sad to see what had happened to them.

And for what? For WHAT?

1. Can you imagine being a new Marine recruit and having
that armless soldier training you? Good for that soldier, but that sure would make me think twice about the upcoming mission.

4. It Would Definitely Be A Giant Dose Of REALITY!
Instead of the glamorous, sexy, adventurous version that you see in the recruitment commercials.

But then again... if it's someone being trained at Quantico... it's too late for them. No opportunities for reconsidering their decision. They've already signed on the dotted line.

Do you remember the character of Uncle Victor, the one-armed veteran Army officer? Do you remember how persuasive he was regarding the discipline and benefits of a military life? ("Victor." Get it?)

9. It seems that's what George H. W. Bush said in 1992 at the ...
... time of the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. I don't know why it's being attributed to Cheney, unless he's repeating it.
