Pentagon to broadcast Sean Hannity's right-wing radio show

BREAKING: Pentagon about to sign deal to broadcast Sean Hannity's right-wing radio show on Armed Forces Radio
by John in DC - 12/01/2005 03:19:00 PM

Well, that didn't take long. It took forever for the Pentagon to finally accept having Ed Schultz's liberal radio show on the Armed Forces Radio as a counter to conservative Rush Limbaugh (and, from what I've heard, they still haven't started airing Schultz). Yet now, as soon as the Armed Forces Radio is finally approaching being fair and balanced, one openly-conservative show to one openly-liberal, they go off and try to sign Sean Hannity's ABC radio show to un-even the score.

(And let me make clear, by saying it's one to one, I'm being generous. Armed Forces Radio carries Limbaugh, "Dr." Laura, and religious right freak James Dobson as well. I didn't see any obvious lefties on their entire line-up.)

I can't disclose my source on this. You're just going to have to trust me.

2. That's not fair..to broadcast
those tokyorose lying propoganda shite shows to our Armed Forces.

I know there are plenty of Dems in the Military who must hate that swill.

3. Now, now..
They're just trying to be fair.. I mean, they signed Ed Shultz so they have to have a Conservative to be equal, right?

:sarcasm:

How rediculous is this.. they were dragging their feet over adding Shultz, but they're practically giddy about adding Hannity. Sickening.

4. If there's ANYTHING that potentially could hurt the troops morale
it is Hannity. His frequent use of Straw Man fallacy paints us unfairly. The troops will hear about how we don't support them.

Fallacy for political gain, it is the only strategy they have going into the 2006 election. What could be more damaging to troop morale than that.

What we need are leaders that unite our people, not divide them. Republicans like Hannity are way too blind, or perhaps stupid, to realize that.

5. I hope the troops have access to the Internet...
so they can get the truth from somewhere.
But then again, judging from the number of soldiers who call in to Randi Rhodes and Thom Hartman and Taliafero, many of them know what's going on.

6. Here's The AFRS Schedule...
http://myafn.dodmedia.osd.mil/radio/afn/schedule.asp

I don't see Ed Schultz listed on these schedules. But I do see Rushbo, SEVERAL Dr. Strangelove Dobson shows, Paul "Horselover" Harvey and "Pro Rodeo" reports (?). They do carry All Things Considered...if you consider that "liberal".

I haven't read or heard anything about Schultz's situation over the past few weeks...anyone hear anything?

7. They are too busy killing and getting killed to listen to Sean Pukeface or
Drugrush.
