148+ of 2000/ 2004 Bush donors (23 percent) involved in scandals
Found these little factoids--good webpage to surf whenever names come up in chimp-related scandals/appointments/company contracts, etc...

Corporate Scandals
At least 148 of the 642 elite 2000 and 2004 Bush donors (23 percent) have been involved in corporate scandals or helped run companies involved in them. At least 100 of the 2004 elite donors (19 percent) have corporate-scandal status.

11. Well, there's stock values.
I do believe that just recently the stock marked reached a high point after four years. Who knows? Another four years of war, murder, graft, death, election theft, character assassination, torture, and lies might actually keep pace with inflation.

Of course if you were an astute investor and put your money in all of those things, you probably did much better than the market as a whole.

6. Crap...look at all of the Ambassadors..chimp's Pioneers/Rangers
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 01:39 AM by rainbow4321
And it looks like **all** of the Ambassadors...scary that these people are representing the US around the world. Also lists other various appointments.

---------------

Key phrase being "recess appointments"

http://www.whitehouseforsale.org/ContributorsAndPaybacks/

Throughout his first term in the White House, President Bush has consistently rewarded his biggest financial supporters with special favors, insider access and prized federal appointments at home and abroad. Last Friday, President Bush quietly appointed major fundraisers as ambassadors to the Bahamas and Estonia as well as to two positions on the board of directors of the Inter-American Foundation.

The four Rangers and Pioneers were among 20 “recess appointments” announced by the president on July 30. By making these appointments while Congress is not in session, Bush bypasses the Senate confirmation process. All the appointees will serve until the end of 2005.

According to analysis by Public Citizen, nearly one of every five of Bush’s elite fundraisers in the 2004 or 2000 elections has received a presidential appointment. At least 173 Rangers and Pioneers (or their spouses) received appointments ranging from jobs in the executive branch to positions on federal advisory boards to spots on the Bush-Cheney transition team. This tally includes four cabinet secretaries and 29 ambassadors.

3. They have gotten away
with the whole 'morality' issue for too long. Like everything else they do just rip off the mask and behind it lies the crime. Whatever they say they are they are just the opposite. Patriotic-no, Christian-no, law-abiding-no, compassionate-no, good for the economy-no, family oriented-no.
