O.K. the dumbing down of America must stop!
Check this out, I was reading an article about the new $10.00 bills planned March release, when I noticed the name of the new website for the new bills.

It's Money Factory .gov
<http://www.moneyfactory.gov/newmoney/> Money Factory!?! :wtf:

What, was Treasury or Bureau of Engraving too hard to spell?

Just for the record, our money is printed by The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

Am I over reacting on this one?

1. I think you are...
but I mean that nicely. :pals:

Both the "moneyfactory.gov" address you gave and "bep.treas.gov" take you to the official site of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. I think they came to the conclusion that the default bep.treas.gov address would be difficult to remember (or easy to mess up), and they needed a phrase made up of complete words. Besides the very real possibility that people would misspell "bureau," if they used the actual words in the name, the address would be rather long, so they decided to go for something shorter, easier to remember.

2. I don't think you're over-reacting.....
And "The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing" shouldn't be too hard to spell.

However, considering the idea of the 'fiat money' that we use today, perhaps 'moneyfactory' is a good/appropriate choice.
