"Sippiana Hericane" . . . Dr. John's homage to New Orleans . . .

this is a short (25 minute) extended play CD that the good doctor has put together to honor his hometown and to raise funds for several local charities . . . the guts of the CD is a four-part suite about the hurricane that consists mostly of Dr. John's incomparable blues piano, with a little organ thrown in and some vocals at the end . . . the price is reasonable, the cause is worthy, and the keyboard work is wonderful . . .

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BP86QE/qid=1133506875/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/102-6133143-2334555?s=music&v=glance&n=5174

here's how amazon.com describes it . . . (btw, there are full one-minute samples of all of the songs on the amazon website) . . .

Product Description:
"Having been deeply moved by the devastation from Hurricane Katrina, legendary offspring and piano man Dr. John (Mac Rebenack) fondly remembers his hometown of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast in this four-song EP. Sippiana Hericane serves up his gift for storytelling while tying together the past and present musical styles and culture that are synonymous with the Big Easy. Sippiana Hericane is his most passionate ode to the city of New Orleans.

"All net label and artist profits from the sale of the CD will be donated to the organizations involved in the relief efforts and rebuilding of New Orleans and the musical environment of the city including the New Orleans Musicians Clinic, Salvation Army, and the Jazz Foundation of America."

check it out . . .

6. click on the link to the CD . . .
and scroll down to the list of songs . . . you can listen via the amazon music sampler, Windows Media Player, or Real Player . . .

if the link isn't working for you (I had to refresh to get it to work), just go to amazon.com, do a search for Dr. John, and click on this CD . . . the listening options will appear . . .

7. No link that lists songs
and this CD doesn't come up when I do a search for Dr. John.

Could you post a link?

If not, I guess I will just have to buy the CD.
