He has a drastically over-inflated sense of his own importance. He honestly thinks that he is one of the most prominent TV personalities covering the issues, when in reality, he is just the top freak at his own sideshow, and even most of his repug-leaning fans don't take him very seriously.
Notice how he derides any liberal who declines to appear on his silly, rigged show?
"Tim Robbins doesn't have the guts to come on the Factor" etc. - He says it like he thinks everybody watches his dumb show, when in reality, the NBC nightly news draws about 20 times as many viewers as he does.
The best way to make him blow a gasket would be to ignore him as the irrelevant little twit he is, and let him fade into well-deserved obscurity.

If some hyperactive kid is jumping around the house, obviously just trying to get attention, the last thing you want to do is yell at him to stop, since that just validates for him that acting like a brat gets him attention. If you ignore him, he eventually tires and finds some other way to get attention, or (hopefully) just gives up and quiets down.

would ever go on any RW show. If they all boycotted the major cable/radio RW shows, the nutjobs would lose the drama and be so dull.
Right now all they do is add fuel to the ignorance fire by subjecting themselves to abuse at the hands of those who control the mics. That is not very smart.
