see cause clinton was only allowed one silly scandal, and it was blown utterly out of proportion, (so to speak), you'd have thought the union itself was threatened, as if high treason had taken place.

on the other hand, bush has been scarred with literally hundreds of serious, treasonous scandals.

i know, i can go on comparing clinton's blow job to bush's repeated acts of tyranny and the lack of outrage among republinazis till i turn blue in the face, but, there you have it.

1. The public has to be felt that common sense is their guiding determination
in selecting their officials. I hope the tide is changing.

By the way, this insanity of teaching that the earth is 6000 years old and that dinosaurs shared the planet with humans is another ploy to divide people. The fundamentalists continue their power grab.

2. Yes, Bill's problem did get out of hand. Stained his presidency. But he
did not browbeat, whipsaw, buy off, blackmail and abuse the press to the point of making them ineffective and scared of their own shadow.
Bill treated the media with respect.
Bush treats it with disdain, yet is smart enough to manipulate them incredibly well.

Bush's scandals are much, much worse, and I fear that the really bad stuff won't come out for some time. What we know already, well, it is pretty bad. Treasonous, really.

When will he suffer the slings and pains of the misfortune he has caused? Next time he falls off his bike? Never? I keep hoping for this Karma thing to come around and bite him in the butt.

3. It's classic American puritanism.
War, killing, weapons = OK
Sex = going to hell.

5. Probably infinite when you control the entire Congress...
and don't have any re-election concern. This makes the 2006 elections so important. The Dems need to gain majority in either the House or Senate in order to control committees and bring things like investigations and impeachment forward. To do this with a Repub controlled Congress is nearly impossible. At the very least, the bar is very, very high (obviously, with the number of scandals brewing right now).

6. The Answer is so Obvious
Someone needs to give George a blow job. And if it's a guy, that really should do it.
