About four years ago Poindexter was brought into the Administration

to form a branch of government dedicated to producing propaganda for (supposedly) "the war effort". Congress got in a huge uproar over it and Poindexter did not get to spread official LIES. What happened to him and do you think he is involved with the news about Pentagon spreading false stories in Iraq? I think they were trying to establish another program called TIPS at the same time and that was about neighbors spying on each other and telling the government of suspected illegal activity. I suspect both programs just went underground and are still happening....Anyone remember these things or am I imagining things?

something about changing the name but the plan is the same. Poindexter looks harmless but he is one evil dude.

I don't know what happened to Poindexter, but I do remember that Congress did not allocate money for these programs. However, Congress cut money for the TSA collecting all kinds of data of airline travelers too, but they managed to collect reams of data anyway. I imagine you are probably right that things like 'TIPS' and others are happening underground.

Didn't Poindexter get fired or quit after DARPA proposed a futures market for betting on terrorist attacks and other calamities around the world?
