Judge not a man by the answers he gives, but...
... by the questions he asks.

Do me a favor. Look at the following two quotes, and think about which one makes a stronger statement:

A) "Bush and Rove tampered with the votes in Ohio in 2004. They got Diebold to fix the election."

B) "Why were voting machines proven to be hackable allowed to be used in Ohio? Why did the exit polls, which are historically accurate to within 1%, fail to match the actual results by such a huge margin for the first time in history? Why were Rove and his staff photographed on PCs late on election night?"

See, making accusations takes credibility away from the arguement. Once you make an accusation, you need to back it up. However, you need no such backup when asking a question.

People see the extreme left (i.e. us) as "nutjobs" because, as evidenced by simply looking at this board, we often (not always, but often) make unsubstantiated claims without corroborating evidence.

My suggestion to this board and its participants is to make less accusations and ask more questions. I realize that its pretty much just us on this board, so most of our posts here are just "preaching to the choir". However, I think as a community, albeit an online one, we can change this board from a soap box to a more meaningful place to gather information. Don't get me wrong, its already a great place for info, even if it is all biased. But I think it can be a real tool should we focus our energies more on real, substantive questions and solutions.

Anyway, I know I can't change the nature of this beast. Just tossing my 2 cents out there.

3. The art of asking a question will carry you far.
It's all in the asking.
