Does Someone Recall Bush Firing Anyone For Incompetence? |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 11:38 AM by The Whiskey Priest
It would seem that there has been plenty of reason to can a few incompetents…but, I cannot recall him sending a pick slip to anyone.
The Economy….was suppose to take off and supply the revenue to off-set the wild tax cuts that he pushed through…..we are now so far in hock that if the nation was a family we would have to take bankruptcy….which we cannot today, because of the bankruptcy law against the lower and middle-class taking bankruptcy, which is beside the point, the point being no single person was canned for that piece of bullshit.
The War…The war was pursued based on intelligence that might have well have been picked from winos on K street. WMDs, nope don’t have any of those. Ties of Saddam to Al Qaeda, nope guess that didn’t be happen. Flowers in the street, Chalabi walks in to form government, on and on and on…..anyone given the old heave-ho, are you kidding?
Implementation of the War: Troops, we have just the right number, wrong, wrong. The troops are well equipped, yea, if they could find the scrap metal in the junk yards or their folks paid. Insurgents on their last legs…..? Anyone called to the woodshed on any of that nonsense?
Katrina—National Preparedness of Disaster: One word Katrina……one incompetent left, came back, left, came back…”doing a great job…”
These are just the most prominent examples….there have been hundreds of small act of incompetence…no one is fired. Maybe that is why Bush has never had a success in his life…a leader is the sum of those around him….he also has to recognize those giving good advice and those giving him BS advice. Maybe Bush is dyslexic, he fires the good ones and keeps the bad ones.
P.S. Sort of lowers my opinion of a Harvard MBA

5. Well, they were just "disgruntled employees" |
|
They were "jealous" of their superiors and were just "trying to get revenge".
See? No scandals here.

Not fired but pretty much forced out because he wouldn't parrot the Bush/PNAC line.

Even after all that "bad intelligence".
Lots of resignations in disgust, but no firings.

...can you remember ANY President firing someone and identifying incompetence as the reason? Having to admit that means you didn't screen the candidate well enough in the first place.
Of course, it is possible that no previous administration hired someone who was incompetent, due to the selection process. Chances are, however, that someone has been fired for that, and we didn't hear about it.
